VDD IQware and Planalyse partner to make ECM applicable in the healthcare sector

Waalre/Amersfoort, 27 May 2008 – VDD IQware, developer and supplier of the Enterprise Content Management system Hyarchis.Net, and Planalyse, specialist in the area of management and planning information, are combining their strengths. Their collaboration will also make VDD IQware’s ECM system available for the healthcare sector, in which a major effort to digitize information is currently taking place.

Medical staff, paramedical personnel and other employees in the healthcare sector are confronted with enormous flows of paper and digital documents every day. These not only involve the patient dossiers, protocols and procedures, but also the communications between the wide range of specialisms. By digitizing these documents and storing them structurally in a single central system, each of them can quickly and easily be consulted at every location.

”We are delighted with our collaboration with VDD IQware”, says André Remmelzwaan, Managing Director of Planalyse. “Since our inception we have focused on the implementation of budgeting and planning systems, and have won a significant market share in the healthcare sector. We’ve seen a growing demand for content management in this market. As a partner of VDD IQware we can now also add ECM to our portfolio of services, enabling us to optimize the service we provide to our clients.”

Managing Director of VDD IQware Andre van der Doelen adds: “This strategic partnership enables us to bring Hyarchis.Net to the healthcare sector. It’s another sector that has to deal with huge flows of documents. With ECM the creation, management, processing and archiving of digital and electronic documents and dossiers becomes a whole lot easier. Together with Planalyse we can now also serve this market, and also make the advantages of scale that can be achieved with content management available to the healthcare sector.”

ICT Zorg 2008 is taking place on Tuesday 27 May at the Congress Center De Reehorst in Ede. André Spruitenburg, Managing Consultant at Planalyse BV, will be giving a talk at the event entitled ‘More appropriate healthcare in an information-processing organization’. His talk will provide further information and illustrations about what the digitization of information can mean for the healthcare sector. More information can be found at www.ictzorg.nl
