Eindhoven, 11th August - More than a quarter (28%) of HR
professionals in the Netherlands do not have enough insight into the composition
of their company’s personnel in order to be able to quickly anticipate changing
circumstances. This has been revealed by research undertaken by VDD IQware,
supplier and developer of the ECM system Hyarchis.Net. VDD IQware conducted a
survey amongst HR professionals into their use of personnel files in relation to
their personnel policy. Amongst the respondents, 78 percent expected to be able
to manage their HR policy more effectively when they could analyze all personnel
files as a whole rather than individually.
Serge Leclercq, Commercial Director of VDD IQware: “That a quarter of HR
professionals still have insufficient insight into the composition of the
personnel within the organization is remarkable. Moreover, it is not easy for
many companies to retrieve data from their personnel files at the click of a
button, whereas our research has shown that there is a real need for this. This
is often because these files are not in a digital form, or because there is no
uniformity in the information in the files. The reason for this is that too
little is known about the composition of the workforce. This can serve as a
substantial obstacle to the development of talent management and a personnel
policy that takes life stages into account.”
